Our Mission

Making dreams real for school-aged children of Stanislaus Country through participation in programs that enrich and stimulate their minds and bodies and teach values through service learning.

About Make Dreams Real

Thank you for visiting the Make Dreams Real Endowment Fund website! Through generous donations from the Boyett Family, Boyett Petroleum staff, Boyett business associates and hundreds of supporters from around the community, we will fill the needs of children in the local community of Modesto and Stanislaus County and enable them to explore and extend their education. We are committed to these communities and are using this opportunity to change the school drop-out rate, elevate the education level, and over time, improve the quality of life.

We anticipate innovative program applications, resulting in grant bestowals that will raise the quality of life in our community as the “Make Dreams Real” fund grows. Our goal is to encourage and instill courage in children to be creative!

Each year 100% of funds raised through the invitational golf tournament will be added to the Make Dreams Real Endowment Fund and 10% will be spent on local youth programs.  Boyett Petroleum generously pays all tournament expenses so that every cent raised goes towards the Fund.

In the first year of the Make Dreams Real Golf Tournament, $75,000 was raised. In 2012, the Make Dreams Real Endowment Fund achieved its goal of reaching $1,000,000. In 2018, the Fund was able to grant nearly $300,000 to local nonprofits.

Modesto Sunrise Rotary Club will continue to be one of the key beneficiaries of this fund as the original beneficiary and reason this tournament was initially begun over twenty years ago. Endowment funds will be maintained at the Stanislaus Community Foundation in Modesto.

“You don’t have to be the smartest person in the room,
just listen the best.”
